I am a volunteer after leaving paid employment some time ago.

I have been participating in Martin's project for a number of years and would encourage you to join us at any time. If you do not fancy regular weed pulling then admin skills are also needed. Raising and minding seedlings is also something you may like to help out with. You may also like to participate in planting days.

For me this started when I became so sick of looking at the rubbish dump outside our gym. So when the chance to change things came along, what else could I do but participate. The slope outside the gym is now planted in flax, hebes, ti tree, manuka and many native grasses.

We are always looking for donations of plants of funds, as well.
