Pourewa Restoration Group
The Pourewa Valley is in the heart of Auckland City. The remnant coastal forest is being restored by a number of volunteer groups headed by the Friends Of Pourewa Valley.

We finished the year with Derek and Martin doing most of the work. Pat managed to develop a sore back just as it got warmer.
The guys did a sterling job of heavy duty maintenance readying the various areas for the summer break.
A fair amount of mulching needs to be done, especially on the mini slope, as we are are alwaya in danger of losing plants as the soil dries out. Fortunately the summer has not been as hot as usual.
