Derek has a very good chain saw. We noticed the Lacebark that had been squashed by last year's falling Sycamore, was sprouting. It was caught right under the fallen tree. Derek kindly cut the fallen trunk back to a place where we could  stand the Lacebark up and support it with pieces of cut logs. It seems to be doing well and the rain last night will be a real help.

We emptied the weed bag at that same place and weeded and cleaned up the area. The soil was carted  around to the Mini slope for summer mulch. Last week we reinforced that with mulch from outside the stadium. A number of borrow loads of mulch were walked down and distributed.

Martin spent time on trapping matters and Pat and Derek finished up the mulching and weeding on the mini slope. Derek is keen to get back to the Honeysuckle so this will probably happen today.
