Carmel Claridge says. - "Last Sunday (30th August) a public meeting was held at the Meadowbank Community Centre to discuss the formation of a "Friends of Pourewa Valley" group. I would like to thank those who spoke at the meeting, and the 30 or so members of the community who attended to lend their support.

Several people have contacted me directly to advise of their interest in sitting on a committee and I would like to extend an invitation to anyone else who has a passion for the area, and wishes to be further involved please email me. There is much work to be done in setting up the formal structure of the group, establishing objectives, and setting out a strategic plan for the future. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated."

You are warmly invited to join the newly formed Friends of Pourewa Valley and the Meadowbank St Johns Residents' Association for our first ever clean up day in conjunction with the Keep NZ Beautiful campaign running from 14-20th September.
