Roy and Abdul Ansorali did a day's worth of selected clearing through the "mini valley" area of Selwyn Bush

Roy was on his own this Sunday, "I did about 3 1/2 Hours scrubcutting which means that most of the regrowth in the areas we have cleared has now been dealt with. When I get a new nylon head for the other cutter I shall give them another go and that should leave them pretty tidy until spring."

Everyone out in the bush this morning including the latest recruit Chris on a beautiful still Autumn day, blue skys and just the sound of a few Tui's calling in the trees and the odd weedeater.:)

Good progress was made on the Carpark slope with Pat and I cutting down Ginger and Robyn and Chris heading to the hills and attacking Asparagus Fern, privet and an assortment of weeds. Meanwhile Roy was ripping through the long grass and weeds on the school side of the valley with his weedeater.

Excitement of the day was seeing a huge (well fairly big) spider and avoiding wasps - there are plenty around this year!
